Amazing $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Online Gaming GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, plus numerous additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, dungeons, urban centers, and land masses from almost any perspective. Users can also create character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section.
